Yes, absolutely. A payment processor integration is optional in Churn.io. You can set up a fully functional cancel flow with surveys, retention offers, feedback collection, and complete analytics without connecting any external system.
What works without an integration
All flow steps: survey, offers, feedback, and cancellation confirmation all work as normal
All offer types: discount, pause, free month, trial extension, book a call, and custom page
Cancel reason targeting: show different offers based on what the customer selected in the survey
Full analytics: session tracking, save rate, cancel reasons, and activity timeline
What requires an integration
The only feature that requires a connected payment processor is subscription-based audience targeting: the ability to show offers based on a customer's plan name, billing cycle, subscription status, or tenure.
β οΈ Offer application still requires your backend
Even with an integration connected, Churn.io does not apply offers (discounts, pauses, etc.) directly to subscriptions. Your backend must handle that when it receives the offer acceptance event. The integration is purely for reading subscription data to enable targeting, not for writing changes.

Many teams start with cancel reason targeting only and add a processor integration later once they are ready to build out more advanced targeting conditions. You can connect at any time from Settings > Integrations.
