Customizing the Cancellation Confirmation Step

The cancellation confirmation step is the final screen a customer sees after their cancellation has been processed. While it cannot bring a customer back, how you close the experience matters. A respectful, clear confirmation leaves the door open for a future return.

How to customise the confirmation step

  1. Open your flow in the editor

  2. Click the Confirmation step

  3. Edit the headline: the primary message the customer sees (for example, "Your cancellation is confirmed")

  4. Edit the supporting text: a brief message below the headline

  5. Edit the button label: the CTA that closes the flow (for example, "Close" or "Back to homepage")

What to write on the confirmation screen

Keep the tone warm and professional. Some effective approaches:

  • Acknowledge the cancellation simply: "You're all set. Your subscription has been cancelled."

  • Leave the door open: "We hope to see you again. You can reactivate your account at any time."

  • Provide a next step: link them back to your homepage or support page if they have outstanding questions.

⚠️ The confirmation step does not process the cancellation

Churn.io displays the confirmation screen, but the actual cancellation in your billing system must be triggered by your backend. Make sure your integration fires the cancellation event when the session ends without a save.
