Before your cancel flow goes live to customers, it is worth taking a few minutes to run through it yourself. This article covers how to use the built-in preview and what to check before you hit publish.
Using the flow preview
Every flow has a live preview panel built into the editor. As you configure each step, the preview updates in real time. To interact with the full flow as a customer would:
Open your flow in the editor
Click the Preview button at the top right
Step through the survey, make an offer selection, and complete the flow
π‘ Preview does not create a real session
Previewing your flow does not count as a billable session and does not trigger any real events to your payment processor or webhooks.
What to check before publishing
Survey reasons: do all your cancel reasons display correctly and in the right order?
Offer targeting: does each cancel reason trigger the correct offer?
Offer copy: is the headline, description, and CTA button text clear and compelling?
Feedback step: is the question phrased neutrally so you get honest answers?
Confirmation screen: does the final message match the tone of your brand?
Branding: does the logo, colour, and font match your product?
Mobile view: resize your browser to around 375px wide and check the flow still looks correct on small screens
β οΈ Test on a staging environment first
If possible, install the widget on a staging version of your app and trigger a real test session before deploying to production. This confirms the widget loads correctly and the trigger is wired up properly.
