Adding Another Integration

A
Written by Andreas H

An integration is the live connection between churn.io and your billing platform. It lets your cancel flows act on real subscriptions — applying discounts, pauses, and plan changes the moment a customer is saved, and processing the cancellation when they choose to leave. This article walks you through adding an integration to your workspace and explains which platforms are available today.

Before you start

Adding an integration is a workspace-level action, so you'll need the right permissions:

  • You must be an Owner, Admin, or Developer of the business you're working in. Members and Viewers will see an "Access restricted" message on the Integrations page.

  • Each business can have one connection per billing platform. If a platform is already connected, you'll see it marked as Connected rather than offered for a fresh connection.

Available integrations

On the Integrations page you'll see a card for every billing platform churn.io plans to support:

  • Stripe — fully available today. Connecting Stripe lets your flows apply discounts, pauses, and plan changes to live subscriptions automatically.

  • Chargebee, Recurly, Braintree, Adyen, and Mollie — these are marked SOON and their buttons read Coming soon. They can't be connected yet, but they're on the roadmap.

💡 Don't see your platform?

Use the Request integration card at the bottom of the grid to let our team know which billing platform you'd like. We'll add it as soon as we can.

Connecting Stripe

Stripe connects securely through the Stripe Marketplace using OAuth — there are no API keys to copy or paste. Here's how to add it:

  1. Open Integrations from the sidebar.

  2. Find the Stripe card and click Connect.

  3. In the dialog that appears, click Install from Stripe Marketplace. You'll be taken to Stripe to authorize the connection.

  4. Approve the requested permissions in Stripe. Stripe then sends you back to churn.io to finish the setup.

  5. churn.io exchanges credentials with Stripe automatically — this usually takes a couple of seconds. When it's done you'll see Stripe connected and you'll be returned to the Integrations page.

Once connected, the Stripe card shows a green Connected badge and the name of the linked Stripe account.

⚠️ Finish the flow without closing the tab

If you close the browser tab or navigate away before Stripe redirects you back, the connection won't complete. If you see "Something went wrong", click Back to Integrations and start again from the Stripe card.

After connecting

As soon as Stripe is connected, churn.io begins reading your subscription data so your cancel flows can act on it and so your usage figures stay accurate. Your retention offers — discounts, pauses, free months, and plan changes — will now be applied to real Stripe subscriptions when a customer accepts them, and cancellations will be processed through Stripe according to each flow's settings.

Replacing or removing an integration

To reconnect a different Stripe account, run the connect flow again — the new connection replaces the existing one for that business. To remove a connection entirely:

  1. Go to Integrations.

  2. On the connected platform's card, click Disconnect.

⚠️ Disconnecting affects live flows

Without a connected billing platform, your flows can no longer apply offers or process cancellations against real subscriptions. Only disconnect when you intend to stop or replace the connection.
