Removing the "Powered by Churn.io" Branding Badge

Written by Andreas H

The Powered by Churn.io badge is a small label that appears at the bottom of your cancellation widget and hosted cancel page. It shows a Churn.io logo next to the words "Powered by Churn.io" so your customers can see which tool is running the experience. This article explains when the badge appears, when it is removed, and how to take it off your own cancellation experience.

Where the badge appears

The badge is shown to your customers in both places where your cancellation experience runs:

  • The cancellation widget that opens inside your own product.

  • The hosted cancel page your customers are sent to.

It sits as a footer at the very bottom of the screen, below your survey, offers, and other flow content. It does not interfere with your branding, colors, or logo — it simply sits underneath everything else.

When the badge is shown or hidden

Whether the badge appears is decided automatically by your plan. There is no separate switch to turn it on or off — it is tied directly to whether you are on a paid plan.

Hidden

In short: the badge is part of the Free plan. As soon as your business is on any paid Pro tier — or a Custom plan — the badge is removed from both your widget and your hosted cancel page.

How to remove the badge

Because the badge is controlled by your plan, removing it means upgrading from Free to a paid plan.

  1. Open the profile menu at the bottom of the sidebar and select Billing.

  2. Choose a paid Pro tier that fits your churn volume, or contact us about a Custom plan.

  3. Confirm your upgrade and complete payment.

Once your paid subscription is active, the badge is removed automatically. You do not need to edit your design, re-publish your flows, or change your embed code — the next time the widget or cancel page loads for a customer, it will appear without the "Powered by Churn.io" footer.

💡 Check it in the design preview

When you open the design editor for your cancel page, the live preview reflects your current plan. If you are on a paid plan, the badge will not appear in the preview either — a quick way to confirm the change took effect.

⚠️ The badge returns if you downgrade

The badge is tied to your active plan. If your business returns to the Free plan — for example, after cancelling a paid subscription — the "Powered by Churn.io" badge will reappear on your widget and cancel page.

Summary

  • The badge appears on the Free plan only.

  • It is hidden on every paid Pro tier and on Custom plans.

  • To remove it, upgrade to a paid plan from the Billing page — it disappears automatically, with no extra setup.
