A Pro plan unlocks the full power of churn.io: unlimited active cancellation flows, unlimited team members, A/B testing, custom domains, and the removal of the "Powered by Churn.io" badge from your widget and cancel page. This article walks you through upgrading from the Free plan to Pro, choosing the right tier, and what happens after you confirm.
What Pro includes
The Free plan is limited to 1 active cancellation flow, 2 team members, and it shows the churn.io branding badge. A/B testing and custom domains are not available on Free.
Upgrading to Pro removes those limits:
Unlimited active cancellation flows
Unlimited team members
A/B testing for your flows
Custom domains for your hosted cancel page
The "Powered by Churn.io" badge is removed
Pro is priced by churn volume — the amount of recurring revenue your cancelling customers represent each month. You pick the tier that matches the monthly churn volume you expect, and you can pay Monthly or Yearly. Yearly billing saves 20%.
Where to upgrade
Open Settings and go to the Billing tab. Your current plan is shown at the top of the page.
⚠️ Who can see Billing
Only the workspace Owner — or an Admin who has been granted billing access — can view and change the plan. If you don't see the Billing tab, ask your workspace Owner to upgrade or to grant you access.
Upgrading from Free to Pro
On the Free plan, the plan card shows an Upgrade to Pro button. The upgrade happens in one dialog:
Click Upgrade to Pro.
Under Add a payment method, enter your card details and click Save card. You'll see a "Card saved" confirmation once it's stored.
Use the slider to pick the churn volume tier you expect for the next month. Each tier covers churn volume up to a ceiling (for example, up to $5,000/mo).
Choose Monthly or Yearly · save 20%. The price for your selection is shown below the slider.
Click Confirm change.
Your upgrade takes effect immediately and your Pro features unlock right away. You'll get a confirmation, and your card is charged for the selected tier.
💡 Returning to Pro
If your account was previously moved to Free and some of your flows were paused as a result, upgrading back to Pro automatically restores those flows. You'll see a short message telling you how many were brought back.
Changing tiers once you're on Pro
When you're already on a Pro tier, the plan card offers Upgrade plan and Change plan:
Upgrading to a higher tier takes effect immediately. Any price difference is prorated, and your billing date stays the same.
Downgrading to a lower tier is scheduled to take effect at the end of your current billing cycle — there's no charge today, and you keep your current tier until then.
Switching between Monthly and Yearly billing also takes effect at your next billing date.
When a downgrade or interval switch is scheduled, a banner appears showing the change and its effective date. You can undo it with Cancel this change any time before it applies.
⚠️ Your verified churn volume sets a floor
churn.io measures your actual recent churn volume. You can't downgrade to a tier whose ceiling is below that figure — if you try, you'll see a note explaining the limit and you'll need to stay on a tier that covers your volume. This keeps your plan in line with what you're actually processing.
Custom plans and very high volume
If your churn volume is higher than the largest standard tier, choose the Custom option in the plan dialog and click Book a Call. Custom plans are quoted by our sales team, and you'll stay on your current plan until pricing is finalised and your custom plan is activated. You'll see a banner letting you know your request was received.
After you upgrade
Once you're on Pro, the Billing tab shows your tier, price, and renewal date, along with your payment method and a list of invoices. You can update your card, change tiers, switch billing interval, or cancel from the same page at any time.
