After creating your account, Churn.io walks you through a short onboarding sequence before you reach your dashboard. This article explains each step so you know what to have ready.

The five onboarding steps

Step 1: Your details

Confirm your name and email address. This is pulled from your signup information and is used in your account profile and any team-facing communications.

Step 2: How you found us

A brief optional question about how you discovered Churn.io. This helps the team understand where customers come from and does not affect your account setup in any way.

Step 3: Your payment processor

Select the payment processor your subscription business uses. This determines which integration options are available to you. You can skip this step and connect a processor later from Settings if needed.

Step 4: Your cancellation volume

Use the slider to indicate roughly how many customers cancel your product per month. This helps Churn.io recommend the right session tier for your account. You are not locked into this estimate.

Step 5: Payment method

Add a credit or debit card to activate your account. You will not be charged during the Free plan. Your card is required upfront to reduce abuse and ensure uninterrupted service if you exceed the free session limit.

πŸ’‘ Free plan confirmed

Adding a card does not start a Pro subscription. You start on the Free plan and only move to Pro when you explicitly upgrade from Settings > Billing.

After onboarding

Once you complete all five steps, you land on the main Churn.io dashboard. From here you can create your first cancel flow, connect your payment processor, and install the widget on your site.
